Shrimp And Oyster Gumbo - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lbs. Shrimp, fresh or frozen
1 c. chopped celery
1 gal. water
1/2 c. bell pepper
4 cloves garlic, minced
salt & lotssss of pepper
Cayenne pepper to taste
2 cans Trappeys gumbo Okra
1/2 c. olive oil
1/2 c. all purpose flour
1 pint oysters, fresh or canned
2 c. chopped onions
1/2 c. onion tops and parsley
Bay leaves (2 medium or 3 or 4 small)
1 can tomatoes (stewed are great)
2 Tbsp. fil (green powdered Sassafras leaves)
Preparation
-
If using fresh shrimps, peel them and season GENEROUSLY with salt, black pepper and cayenne.
Set aside till ready to use.
