Danish Puffs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1/2 c. butter
    2 Tbsp. water
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. butter
    1 tsp. almond extract
    3 eggs
Preparation
    Measure into bowl 1 cup flour.
    Cut in 1/2 cup butter and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons water.
    Mix with fork.
    Round into ball and divide in half.
    Pat dough with hands into 2 large strips, 3 x 12-inch.
    Put on ungreased baking sheet.
    Put in saucepan and bring to a rolling boil the 1 cup water and 1/2 cup butter.
    Add the almond extract and remove from heat.
    Stir in 1 cup flour immediately to keep from lumping.
    Beat when smooth and thick.
    Add the eggs, one at a time, beating until smooth.
    Divide in half and spread evenly over each piece of pastry.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven until topping is crisp and nicely browned (about 60 minutes).
    Frost with confectioners sugar and sprinkle with nuts.
