Sopaipillas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1/2 c. lukewarm water
    1 pkg. yeast
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together, then cut in shortening.
    Mix water and yeast until yeast dissolves.
    Then gradually add this to dry ingredients, stirring with a fork until it crumbles.
    Knead on floured surface until a smooth ball is formed.
    Divide in half and let stand 10 minutes.
    Roll each half about 1/8-inch thick; cut into 3 squares.
    Fry in hot oil for about 30 seconds on each side.
    Drain and serve with honey.
