Rigatoni Supreme - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion, chopped
    2 to 3 Tbsp. olive oil
    4 sweet Italian sausages, skinned and crumbled
    3/4 lb. sliced mushrooms
    2 Tbsp. fresh basil, chopped or 1 Tbsp. dried
    1/4 c. dry red wine
    2 c. canned plum tomatoes, chopped
    4 Tbsp. milk
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 lb. rigatoni pasta
    3/4 c. grated Pecorino
    Romano cheese
Preparation
    In a saucepan, over medium heat, saute onion in olive oil until pale gold.
    Add sausage and saute for a few minutes.
    Add mushrooms, basil and red wine.
    Allow wine to evaporate.
    Add tomatoes and let mixture simmer for 8 minutes.
    Add milk, salt and pepper to taste and remove from heat.
