Chalupa - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 lb. pork roast, cut in bite size pieces
1 lb. pinto beans, soaked in water overnight
3 cloves garlic, chopped
3 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. oregano
1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chillies
1 (12 oz.) jar mild chunky salsa
salt to taste
corn chips
shredded cheese
chopped tomatoes
shredded lettuce
Preparation

Mix first 9 ingredients together.
Place in slow cooker. Cover with water (reduce water slightly if beans are presoaked). Cover cooker.
Cook on high for 5 hours.
Serve in layers of corn chips, meat mixture, cheese, tomato, lettuce and taco sauce. Yields 15 servings.
