Fresh Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. strawberries
    1 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    4 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 c. Cool Whip
    1 baked (9-inch) pie shell
Preparation
    Wash strawberries.
    Save a few whole for garnish.
    Put half the remaining berries into a saucepan with sugar.
    Cut the other berries in half.
    Crush the berries in the saucepan with pastry blender or potato masher.
    Combine cornstarch with lemon juice and add to the crushed berries.
    Cook over low heat,
    stirring constantly, until mixture has thickened and become transparent. Add remaining half berries.
    Fold in gently.
    Pour into baked pastry shell.
    Chill.
