Jim'S Homemade Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef, chunky
    8 oz. onion, diced
    1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes (Italian-style)
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    2 cloves garlic, diced
    1 tsp. turmeric
    3 red peppers
    3 dried chilies
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    3 bay leaves
    1 tsp. cumin
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    2 tsp. salt
    8 tsp. chili powder
    1 can (15 1/2 oz.) red kidney beans
Preparation
    Saute beef, onion and garlic.
    Cook for 5 minutes. Add spices and mix.
    Add stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce and kidney beans. Simmer on low heat for one hour.
    Makes approximately 5 quarts.
