Ingredients

3/4 c. creamy peanut butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/4 c. light brown sugar
3 Tbsp. milk
1 egg
1 3/4 c. flour
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking soda
Preparation

Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Mix peanut butter, Crisco, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in a large bowl.
Beat at medium speed until blended.
Add egg, beat until blended.
Combine flour, salt and baking soda.
Add to creamy mixture at low speed.
Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart, onto ungreased baking sheet.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 7 to 8 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet before removing from pan.
Yields approximately 3 dozen cookies.
