No-Fry Doughnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. dry yeast
    1/4 c. warm water
    1 1/2 c. milk, scalded and cooled
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    4 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/3 c. Crisco shortening
Preparation
    In large bowl, mix 2 cups flour, yeast, nutmeg and cinnamon. To the cooled milk, add sugar, salt and melted shortening.
    Add this to the flour-yeast mixture.
    Beat 1/2 minute.
    Add beaten eggs.
    Beat 2 minutes.
    Stir in remaining flour until smooth. Cover.
    Let rise until doubled (50 to 60 minutes).
