Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast
    5 c. white flour, unsifted
    1 tsp. soda
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 to 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    2 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup lukewarm water.
    Sift all dry ingredients together.
    Cut in shortening; add yeast, water and buttermilk.
    Place
    in covered bowl in refrigerator overnight. Bake
    as needed.
    On floured board roll 1/2 inch thick and cut with
    a
    biscuit
    cutter.
    Bake
    at 400\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes. Yields 3 to 5 dozen.
