Mama Bonomo'S Meatball Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground round
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. water
    1 Tbsp. parsley
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can beef broth
    1 large can tomatoes, undrained
    1 envelope (1 3/8 oz.) dry onion soup
    2 c. (4 or 5) sliced carrots
    1/4 c. chopped celery tops
    1/4 c. chopped parsley
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. dried oregano
    1/4 tsp. dried basil
    1 bay leaf
Preparation
    Mix first 6 ingredients thoroughly.
    Make 1-inch meatballs and brown in skillet (in small amount of butter, if desired).
    Drain and reserve.
