Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. sugar
    3/4 lb. glucose
    3/4 pt. water
    2 oz. butter
    1 lb. raw peanuts
    1 heaping Tbsp. baking soda
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook sugar, glucose, water and butter until brittle in cold water (260\u00b0).
    Stir in peanuts and cook for 5 minutes; stirring constantly.
    Remove and stir in soda and vanilla.
    Pour onto a well-greased porcelain tabletop and stretch.
