Grandma'S Old Fashion Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 slices toast, buttered
    1/3 c. raisins or dates
    2 eggs
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. canned milk
    1 c. boiling water
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cut toast into quarters and put in 1 1/2-quart baking dish. Sprinkle raisins or dates over toast.
    Mix eggs (slightly beaten), sugar, salt, milk, boiling water and vanilla.
    Pour over toast. Let stand 10 minutes.
    Sprinkle top with a mixture of 4 teaspoons sugar and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes or until knife comes out clean.
