Lentil Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large onions, chopped
    2 medium carrots, scraped and chopped
    1 c. dry lentils
    1/2 c. parsley, chopped
    16 oz. can whole tomatoes (undrained), chopped
    3 c. chicken broth
    1/4 c. dry sherry
    1/2 tsp. dried whole thyme
    1/2 tsp. dried whole marjoram
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients in a Dutch oven.
    Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes or until lentils are tender.
