Italian Beef - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 to 10 lb. bottom beef roast
    1 c. Romano cheese
    1 tsp. oregano
    1 tsp. basil
    1 tsp. anise
    1 tsp. parsley
    1 tsp. crushed red peppers
    salt
    1 small can tomato paste
    1 large can Italian tomatoes
    garlic powder
Preparation
    Mix first 6 ingredients together in bowl.
    Make deep slits all over roast on both sides.
    Using tablespoon stuff slits with cheese mixture.
    Make puree of tomato paste and Italian tomatoes plus 2 small cans of water.
    Pour over top of roast; add more water to cover, if necessary.
    Sprinkle with garlic powder.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 3 1/2 to 4 hours.
    When cool, slice very thin.
    Excellent for sandwiches for a party.
    Serves 10 to 15.
