Sweet Potato Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. mashed sweet potatoes
    2 Tbsp. dark brown sugar
    1/2 c. melted unsalted butter
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    dash of ground nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    3/4 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Beat together the sweet potatoes, sugar and butter until well blended.
    Sift together flour, baking powder, cinnamon and nutmeg. Dissolve baking soda in buttermilk.
    Add dry ingredients and buttermilk to potatoes.
    Mix until soft dough is formed.
    Do not overbeat.
    Place dough on floured surface and roll out to 1/2-inch thick.
    Cut out with a biscuit cutter and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for approximately 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
    Cook on wire rack.
    Makes two dozen.
