Red Hot Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. red hots
    1 large pkg. cherry jello
    1 large can applesauce
    1 3/4 c. water
    1 large can crushed pineapple, undrained
Preparation
    Place candy
    and
    water
    in
    pan over low heat and stir until dissolved
    and near boiling; add to jello.
    Then pour in applesauce
    and
    pineapple
    (do
    not drain pineapple); let set overnight in refrigerator.
