Caramel Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted cake flour
    1 1/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
    3 squares Baker's unsweetened chocolate, melted
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. milk
    2 eggs, well beaten
Preparation
    Sift flour once (cake flour), measure, add soda, sift together. Cream butter or margarine thoroughly, add sugar gradually and cream together until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Add chocolate and blend.
    Add flour alternately with milk, a small amount at a time.
    Beat until smooth Add vanilla.
    Bake in 2 deep greased pans (9-inch) in moderate oven (350\u00b0) for 25 minutes.
    Spread with caramel or chocolate frosting.
