Parmesan Corn Chowder - cooking recipe

2 c. boiling water
2 c. potatoes, diced
1/2 c. carrots, sliced
1/2 c. celery, sliced
1/4 c. onion, chopped
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. margarine
1/4 c. flour
2 c. milk
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
1 c. cream corn
Preparation

To the water add potatoes, carrots, celery, onion, salt and pepper.
Cover and simmer; do not drain.
Make a white sauce with margarine, flour and milk.
Add corn and undrained vegetables. Heat, but do not boil.
Add crumbled cooked bacon.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
