Hot German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9 medium potatoes
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. celery seed
    3/4 c. water
    2 (12 oz.) pkg. bratwurst
    6 slices bacon
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1/3 c. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation
    Pare potatoes.
    In saucepan, heat 1-inch salted water (1/2 teaspoon salt to 1 cup water) to boiling.
    Add potatoes.
    Cover; cook 30 to 35 minutes or until tender.
    Drain; set aside.
