Mexican Chili Dip - cooking recipe

1 (16 oz.) box Velveeta mild Mexican cheese
2 Tbsp. chopped pickled jalapeno peppers
1 tsp. ground cumin (generous)
1 Tbsp. chili powder (generous)
1 lb. ground beef, cooked and drained
1/2 c. shredded cheese for tacos
1 (6 oz.) can spicy tomato sauce (at least and then some) *
1 Tbsp. taco seasoning mix (optional)
