Caramel Pound Cake - cooking recipe

3 c. sugar
3 sticks butter or margarine
6 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
8 oz. pkg. Philadelphia cream cheese
3 c. cake flour
Preparation

Preheat oven at 350\u00b0.
Grease and flour large pound cake pan. Blend softened butter, Philadelphia cream cheese, vanilla and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Next, add sifted flour with salt.
Mix at medium speed until well blended.
If mix becomes too thick, you can add milk, a tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is obtained.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours or until done.
Sometimes what I'll do at the end of the scheduled baking time, if the cake still isn't done, reduce the heat to 325\u00b0 and continue to bake until done.
Allow to cool about 10 minutes before you remove cake from pan.
