Breakfast Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 1/2 tsp. Arm & Hammer baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. sour milk or buttermilk
    1 egg, well beaten
    4 Tbsp. shortening, melted
Preparation
    Sift flour once; measure.
    Add baking soda, salt and sugar and sift again.
    Combine milk, egg and shortening.
    Add to flour mixture, stirring only enough to blend.
    Turn into greased muffin tins.
    Bake in hot oven (425\u00b0) for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Makes 12 muffins.
