Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    green tomatoes
    corn meal
    salt
    sugar
    oil
Preparation
    Slice firm, green tomatoes in slices, about a quarter or half-inch thick.
    Dip each slice in corn meal to which you have added a generous amount of salt and a dash of sugar.
    Fry in salad oil until brown; turn once during cooking.
    One tomato makes 3 or 4 slices.
