Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. vegetable shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. white sugar
    2 unbeaten eggs
    2 Tbsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. milk
    2 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. uncooked oats
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugars.
    Add eggs, vanilla and milk. Combine dry ingredients and add to first mixture.
    Stir in oats, nuts and chips.
    Dough will be thick.
    Drop by spoonful on ungreased cookie sheet 1-inch apart.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 minutes. Do not overcook.
    Take out while barely set.
    Cool on absorbent paper.
