Flaky Pastry - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. shortening
3 Tbsp. ice water
Preparation

Combine dry ingredients; cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal.
Add ice water and stir lightly.
(Dough will be just moist enough to cling together when pressed into a ball.)
Turn dough out on a lightly floured board or cloth.
Roll to 1/2-inch thickness; trim to 1/2-inch larger than casserole dish.
