Red Beans And Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1/2 green pepper, chopped
    1 1/2 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 1/2 tsp. cumin
    2 (16 oz.) cans red kidney beans
    2 large fresh tomatoes, chopped or 1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes, chopped
    1 c. mild picante sauce
    1 lb. cooked drained sausage
Preparation
    Brown sausage; set aside.
    Saute onion, garlic and green pepper in oil.
    Add chili powder and cumin and stir to distribute. Add drained beans, tomatoes and picante sauce and sausage. Simmer until heated through.
    Eat as is or serve over rice or add 1 cup cooked rice to mixture.
