Barley Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. sliced mushrooms
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1 large onion
    1 c. barley (long cooking)
    2 c. chicken broth
    1 clove garlic
    toasted almonds for sprinkling on top
Preparation
    Saute onion and mushrooms in butter.
    Add barley and brown. Add crushed garlic clove.
    Pour into greased casserole.
    Pour over this 1 cup of chicken broth.
    Cover.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes. Uncover.
    Add second cup of chicken broth.
    Stir.
    Sprinkle with almonds.
    Bake until liquid is absorbed (approximately 1/2 hour).
