Virginia'S Baked Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    3 c. scalded milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    nutmeg
Preparation
    Beat eggs.
    Add sugar and salt and continue beating until well blended, then add hot milk slowly.
    Add vanilla.
    Pour into a baking dish which has been rinsed in cold water.
    Sprinkle with nutmeg.
    Set baking dish in pan of hot water and bake (350\u00b0) until custard is set or a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
