Carolina Corn Dog Surprise - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3/4 c. self-rising flour
1/4 c. self-rising corn meal
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. dry mustard
2 Tbsp. dry onion soup
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1 lb. franks

Preparation

Mix dry ingredients.
Beat egg and milk together and add dry ingredients.
Stir until blended.
Insert popsicle sticks into franks which have been wiped with dry cloth and dusted with flour. Dip into batter and drop into oil heated to 375\u00b0.
Fry until brown and drain on paper towel.
Serve piping hot.
Catsup and mustard may be brushed on before eating.
