Brunswick Chicken Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (2 1/2 to 3 lb.) broiler fryer chicken
    1 Tbsp. salt
    2 qt. water
    1/4 lb. cooked smoked turkey, chopped
    2 large onions, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, undrained and chopped
    1 (16 oz.) can whole kernel corn, drained
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen lima beans
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen sliced okra
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1 bay leaf
    1 1/4 tsp. hot sauce
Preparation
    Combine first 3 ingredients in large Dutch oven; bring to boil.
    Cover, reduce heat and simmer 1 hour.
    Remove chicken from broth.
    Cool chicken completely, skin, bone and coarsely chop meat.
