Cream Cheese Breakfast Casserole - cooking recipe

10 slices cubed, trimmed white bread
2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
2 c. milk
1 doz. eggs, beaten
1/8 c. sugar
1/8 c. cinnamon
1 c. maple syrup
strawberries (optional)
blueberries (optional)
Preparation

Layer half of bread in 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
Cover bread with sliced cream cheese.
Add remaining bread.
Mix together milk, eggs, syrup and spices; pour over bread and cheese in dish. Refrigerate overnight.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
Serve with additional syrup and optional toppings.
