Curried Cream Of Pea Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. frozen peas
    1 medium onion, diced
    1 carrot, diced
    1 celery stalk and leaves, chopped
    1 medium potato, peeled and chopped
    2 cloves garlic
    1 tsp. curry powder or to taste
    fresh ground pepper
    6 slices bacon, crispy fried
    2 c. chicken stock
    1 c. half and half
Preparation
    Fry bacon crisp.
    Remove and drain.
    Cook all vegetables and garlic except peas in bacon fat until soft.
    Add curry and pepper, then 1/2 the chicken stock and peas.
    Simmer for 15 minutes. Puree in batches; return to pot.
    Whisk in remaining stock and half and half.
    Simmer on low until hot.
    Ladle into bowls.
    Top with crumbled bacon.
