Tar-I-Kal(Norwegian Lamb And Cabbage Dish) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 kg. (2 lb.) lamb from the cheaper cuts
1 kg. (2 lb.) cabbage
1 Tbsp. salt
2 tsp. whole peppercorns
water
Preparation

Cut the meat into serving pieces.
Cut the cabbage into chunks or thick slices.
Arrange meat and cabbage in a pan, sprinkling salt and pepper between (peppercorn can be placed in bag if desired).
Add water until it is about 2 inches over contents. Simmer on low heat until meat and cabbage is tender.
Serve on warm plates with boiled potatoes.
