Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. Karo corn syrup
    3 oz. butter
    1 lb. raw peanuts
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Cook sugar, corn syrup and butter to 240\u00b0.
    Add raw peanuts. Cook to 290\u00b0.
    Add 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda and remove from heat.
    Pour mixture onto buttered marble slab or buttered cookie sheet.
    Cool and break into pieces.
