6 Weeks Bran Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. plus 3 Tbsp. shortening
2 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 qt. buttermilk
2 c. whole bran
2 c. boiling water
4 c. Bran Buds
6 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
5 tsp. soda
Preparation

Blend shortening, sugar and eggs. Add 1 quart buttermilk. Dissolve whole bran in boiling water; add along with Bran Buds to sugar mixture.
Stir in flour, salt and soda.
Pour into greased muffin tin cups. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 16 to 19 minutes.
Batter will keep up to 6 weeks in refrigerator.
