Cheese Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 apples, peeled and sliced
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. flour
    1 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. margarine
    6 Tbsp. water
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Place apples in 10-inch square baking dish.
    Combine sugar, flour, Cheddar cheese and salt in bowl.
    Cut in margarine until crumbly.
    Add to apples; mix well.
    Sprinkle with water and lemon juice.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
    May prepare apples and cover in salted water.
    Drain apples and use as above omitting salt. May serve as side dish.
    Yield:
    12 servings.
