Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening (Crisco or butter)
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs, slightly beaten
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt (pinch)
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
    4 c. flour, sifted
Preparation
    Mix shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs.
    Add baking powder and salt with flour and sift.
    Add to other mixture and add vanilla and mix lightly.
    Roll out in thickness desired or biscuit thickness.
    Cut out.
    Bake on cookie sheet until slightly brown. Add nuts, if desired.
