Chow-Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. cut up cabbage
    2 qt. sliced green tomatoes
    2 qt. sliced onions
    1 pt. red sweet pepper
    1 pt. green pepper
    1 qt. vinegar
    4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. mixed spices
    salt
Preparation
    Mix first 5 ingredients and soak with salt and water overnight. Drain and mix vinegar, sugar and spices. Boil 1 hour and put in hot sterilized jars.
