Pecan Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. sifted plain flour
2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
6 eggs, separated
1 tsp. soda in whiskey
2 tsp. baking powder
1 lb. white raisins
4 slices candied pineapple
1/2 lb. candied cherries
1 c. whiskey
1 lb. pecans
2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add egg yolks.
Pour in whiskey slowly.
Add flour alternately.
Pour all this over fruit covered with flour.
Add nuts.
Fold in egg whites that are beaten until stiff.
Bake 1 hour at 200\u00b0 and then 2 hours at 250\u00b0.
