Pepper Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. beef steak, cut in strips
1/2 c. butter (1 stick)
1/2 c. chopped onion
2 green bell peppers, diced
1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
1 beef bouillon cube
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. water
6 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Add beef to melted butter in a skillet; sprinkle with garlic powder and cook, stirring lightly until brown.
Remove meat; add onion and pepper.
Saute for 2 minutes; return meat to skillet along with tomatoes and bouillon cube.
Simmer 5 minutes.
Add cornstarch, water, soy sauce, sugar and salt.
Stir into meat mixture; cook until thickened.
Serve at once over whipped potatoes or rice.
