Beer Batter Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. self-rising flour
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    12 oz. beer (room temperature)
    1 stick butter, divided
Preparation
    Mix flour, sugar and beer and put in a greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
    Melt butter and pour 4 tablespoons (half) of it on top of dough.
    Bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes, then pour remaining butter over top.
    Continue baking 40 more minutes. Remove from oven; remove from pan.
    Cool on wire rack.
    Best when toasted.
