Mexican Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. yellow corn meal (self-rising)
    1 c. milk
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 large onion, chopped
    1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 (16 oz.) can cream-style corn
Preparation
    Mix corn meal, milk, eggs and corn together and set aside. Brown ground beef and drain.
    Pour 1/2 of corn meal batter into greased 15 x 9-inch baking dish.
    Put in layers next the cheese, meat, onion and pepper.
    Pour on remaining batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
    Makes 4 servings.
