Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine
2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
2 c. flour
2/3 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar well.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Sift flour, salt and baking powder together.
Add to creamed mixture with milk, a little at a time. Beat well after each addition.
Add vanilla.
Bake in three 8-inch cake pans in a 350\u00b0 oven for about 15 minutes.
Frost cake.
