Gnocchi(Potato Pasta; Kids Will Love To Help!) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. red potatoes or 2 c. leftover mashed potatoes
    1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
    3/4 c. all-purpose flour or semolina
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. Italian seasoning (optional)
    1 (28 to 32 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
Preparation
    Boil potatoes whole and unpeeled for about 40 minutes; drain and cool.
    Peel and mash in a bowl.
    Add garlic, flour, salt and seasoning.
    Stir into soft dough.
    Turn onto floured surface. Divide into 4 to 6 parts; shape into ropes about as thick as your finger.
    Cut into 3/4-inch pieces and roll them on the tines of a fork.
    Drop into boiling water.
    Gnocchi will sink.
    After 1 to 2 minutes, they rise to the top and are done.
    Carefully drain; top with your favorite spaghetti sauce.
