Corn Bread With Hamburger - cooking recipe

2 c. self-rising cornmeal
1 (8 oz.) can cream-style corn
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
jalapeno pepper (optional)
1/2 to 1 lb. ground beef, cooked and drained
1/2 c. oil
1 large onion, chopped
Preparation

Combine cornmeal, corn, sour cream and eggs.
Heat frying pan and oil.
Pour 1/2 cornmeal mixture into frying pan.
Top with cheese and crumbled ground beef.
Add jalapeno (if you like it hot).
Add onion.
Cover with remaining cornmeal mixture.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
