Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. plain corn meal
1 c. self-rising flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
2 tsp. grated onion
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
2 eggs
1 Tbsp. catsup
evaporated milk
water

Preparation

Sift meal and flour together.
Add all dry ingredients and onion.
Beat in eggs and catsup.
Mix all other ingredients in and add equal amounts of evaporated milk and water until stiff batter is formed.
Drop into hot oil by teaspoon.
Cook until golden brown.
