Chocolate Popcorn Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 qt. warm popped corn
    1 c. chopped peanuts
    1 1/2 c. toasted coconut
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. dark corn syrup
    1/2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. chocolate pieces
    1 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation
    Mix popcorn, peanuts and coconut.
    In heavy saucepan, combine sugar, syrup and water.
    Cook and stir until sugar dissolves, then cook at 270\u00b0, soft crack stage.
    Remove from heat; add butter and vanilla.
    Pour mixture over popcorn, stirring well.
    Press into buttered 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Immediately cut into 1 1/2-inch squares.
    Melt chocolate and shortening together.
    Drizzle over top of squares.
