Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. rice
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. granulated sugar
    1 1/2 qt. milk (approximately)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. raisins
Preparation
    Wash rice; place in double boiler and cover with water. Cook until
    dry.
    Add
    milk,
    sugar,
    salt
    and raisins.
    Cook until thick.
    Add vanilla just before removing from stove.
