Sweet & Sour Red Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 strips bacon, diced
    2 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
    6 Tbsp. brown sugar
    3 Tbsp. vinegar
    6 c. grated red cabbage
    1/2 c. water
    dash of salt
Preparation
    Fry bacon with onion until bacon is crisp and the onion is tender. Stir in brown sugar and vinegar. Stir in cabbage. Add water and salt; cook over medium heat until cabbage is tender about 20-30 minutes, if desired cook the tasty cabbage with 1 diced apple.
